Crack the Change Code Workshop: Transform Resistance into Action

Have you ever really wanted to make a change in your life, but found that no matter how badly you wanted to shift your behavior, something kept you stuck in the same old rut? Do you find yourself saying to your friends:

- I don't know why I am self sabotaging
- Why can't I get out of my own way
- I wish I knew how to move forward

If so, you aren't alone. Did you know that only 1:7 people are able to make the health changes they truly desire? This reality is true because most of us have some hidden assumptions that govern our lives. These hidden assumptions are tricky. They may seem very much like truths instead of assumptions. And to top it off, they have probably served us in many circumstances.

In this workshop you will develop self compassion and realize your "immune system" is doing what it is supposed to do. It is working to protect you. Unfortunately, in this particular area of life the immune system is in overdrive and is unintentionally holding you back.

If you feel like you have one foot on the gas and one on the brake, keeping the wheels spinning and burning but the car is going nowhere – then this workshop is meant for you.

Feeling stuck can be incredibly frustrating and disheartening. You may have feel like:
  • Every effort to move forward is futile, leaving you drained
  • Your dreams and goals seem out of reach
  • The sheer number of choices and decisions paralyzes you, leading to overthinking and doubt
  • No one understands your struggle, making you feel more alone
  • Passion for your projects or goals feels dim, making it hard to muster energy
  • You question your abilities and worth, with negative self-talk eroding your confidence
These feelings have real impacts on your life that may be
  • Straining relationships, causing withdrawal from loved ones, and increasing irritability
  • Halting career progress, limiting decision-making and reducing job satisfaction
  • Fueling anxiety, stress, fatigue and other physical or emotional symptoms

Join us to uncover the hidden assumptions that hold you back and learn practical strategies to transform resistance into action.

Workshop Overview

Our process is based on the Immunity to Change framework from two Harvard Professors in Adult Development and Learning, Dr. Robert Kegan and Dr. Lisa Lahey and the latest science in neuroplasticity and our sub conscious mind. During the workshop participants will work with a map making tool to illuminate hidden assumptions, learn how to test those assumptions and figure out if there are certain circumstances where they aren't true or they aren't helpful.

Attendees will:

-Learn how to address the adaptive part of your challenge
-Identify the hidden assumptions that keep you from moving forward on your goals
-Understand how to build maps of your big assumptions so you can continue to use the tools from the workshop

How i ended a 5 year streak of avoiding important medical tests

why do we self Sabotage and stay stuck?

Most of the behaviors we want to change have both a technical and an adaptive solution. The technical part of a problem can be learned or identified fairly quickly. For example, we can figure out the technical elements needed to address our health concerns. It may be a change in diet, a different type of exercise, stress reduction or something else. Yet even when we know the technical things we need to do, there can be an adaptive challenge in our mind that keeps us in the same old patterns. Even with something that appears straight forward and simple like changing your diet, the adaptive part of the challenge is messy, multi-dimensional, ambiguous feeling and often unpredictable. An adaptive problem is a challenge that requires a shift in perspective, behavior, or strategy to solve. They demand learning, innovation, and changes in attitudes and approaches. These problems often involve conflicting values, beliefs, and interests. That's why we are offering this workshop!
